Electrical Engineer (Tactical Military Comms) | BAE Systems | Lexington Park, MD
Technologies Solutions and Services of BAE Systems Inc. provides a full
spectrum of systems engineering, technical services and ordnance systems
to our customers in disciplines essential for successful systems
development, operation, and maintenance. Our full life-cycle systems
capabilities include system design, integration and test, software
development engineering, and maintenance and integrated logistics
support.
- Creates and analyzes designs of electrical portion of integrated
communications systems
- Reviews and prepares design documentation
- Creates test plans and scenarios for component and system functional and
operational tests
- Conducts research into capabilities of new hardware designs and their
impact on system design
- Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to
eliminate deficiencies, correct malfunctions, or to meet changes in
- system requirements
- Authors engineering change orders, engineering change proposals, and
corrective action reports
- Provides inputs to cost and schedule processes
- Accomplishes other duties as required
- This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the
St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River
Naval Air Station.
- Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidate. Applicants
must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's
County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Must have the following:
- BSEE from an accredited university
- At least 5 years experience with RF communications systems (radio &
SATCOM)
- Clearance EligiblePreferences: Systems Integration Experience
- Engineering Change Proposal Experience
- Trade Studies and Analysis Experience
- Tactical data link experience highly desired
- Equipment Integration experience
- LAN/IP/VOIP/Network experience
- Military experience
- AN/ARC-210 radio knowledge
